Pastor Grady Jackson was born and raised in the inner city of Buffalo, New York, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges of poverty, violence, and brokenness. As a young boy, God gave his mother a vision to relocate their family to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia during what began as a summer vacation, leading them away from a dangerous environment and into a new season of hope. Though he escaped the streets, many of his childhood friends did not, and he has carried the weight of those losses throughout his life.

Everything changed when Grady experienced a life-transforming encounter with Jesus Christ. His spiritual conversion redirected the course of his life and ignited a deep passion to reach underserved, underprivileged, and disadvantaged communities with the hope of the Gospel. That calling continues to shape every aspect of his ministry today.

After moving to Virginia, Pastor Jackson embraced the values of education, personal growth, and a strong work ethic. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Management, with a minor in Biblical Studies, from Regent University, and later received a Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University. His academic training, combined with practical leadership experience, has equipped him to serve both the church and the community with wisdom and excellence.

Pastor Jackson is also the owner of Affordable Brick Repair LLC, a company he founded in 2012. Through his business, he has faithfully served the Hampton Roads community with integrity, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to excellence.

Among his greatest blessings and accomplishments is being the father of three beautiful daughters and one son. His family remains one of God's greatest gifts and a constant source of joy and purpose.

For more than twenty years, Pastor Jackson has faithfully served in a variety of ministry roles, investing in the spiritual growth of others through discipleship, outreach, leadership, and community engagement. While he deeply values the biblical role of the local church, his vision extends beyond the church walls. He is passionate about seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ and believes the Church is called to bring hope, healing, and restoration to neighborhoods, cities, and nations.

In 2026, Pastor Jackson was officially ordained by Vanguard Ministries, a milestone that affirmed and formalized the calling God placed on his life and the ministry work he has faithfully carried out for decades.

Devin Groome is a passionate minister, entrepreneur, and leader committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through both ministry and marketplace influence. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Devin was brought up in the church under the guidance of his grandparents, where he developed a strong spiritual foundation early in life. He was baptized in the 2nd grade, marking the beginning of his personal walk with Christ.

Raised by a single mother, Devin understands perseverance, discipline, and faith in action. He attended Princess Anne High School and later Kempsville High School, where he earned his GED—an experience that helped shape his resilience and determination.

In July 2015, Devin began his entrepreneurial journey, founding what is now Groome's Brick & Foundation. Through consistency, excellence, and faith, he has built a respected and successful company serving the Hampton Roads area for over a decade.

Before fully stepping into ministry, Devin pursued a secular music path. However, he made the decision to walk away from that career to fully commit himself to church leadership and the call God placed on his life. Today, he serves as a leader at The Light Church in Norfolk, Virginia, where he regularly preaches and helps guide the church's mission to be a light to those in darkness through the Word of Jesus Christ. His teaching emphasizes practical application of Scripture, spiritual growth, and building a real relationship with God.

Devin is currently furthering his theological education through Jake's Divinity School, continuing to deepen his understanding of the Word and strengthen his calling to disciple others.

He has been married since June 2019 and is a devoted husband and father of three sons: Bryson, Darius, and Gabriel. Outside of ministry and business, Devin enjoys playing basketball, weightlifting, spending quality time with his wife and children, and unwinding by watching series on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Devin's life reflects his commitment to faith, family, and purpose—encouraging others to grow spiritually, walk in discipline, and fully live out their God-given calling.

Desyre Jackson is a dedicated worship leader with a lifelong passion for glorifying God through music. Her journey in worship began at the age of five in her local church, where she sang alongside her family and developed a deep love for praising God. From an early age, she recognized that worship is more than music — it is a lifestyle of surrender and a powerful expression of God's love and presence.

Over the years, Desyre has faithfully served through song in a variety of settings, including weekly church services, conferences, weddings, funerals, revivals, and other special ceremonies. Her heart for ministry is evident in her desire to lead people beyond the songs and into a genuine encounter with God.

As the Worship Leader of The Light Church, Desyre is committed to cultivating an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is welcomed, hearts are encouraged, and lives are transformed through authentic worship. She believes worship has the power to strengthen the weary, inspire hope, and draw people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Above all, Desyre gives all honor and glory to God for the gift He has entrusted to her. She considers it a sacred privilege to serve His people through worship and remains devoted to leading others into His presence with humility, excellence, and a heart fully surrendered to Him.
